All people, animals and amphibians suffering from fever many times in their life time. Even though now we are living with a lot of disease related to fevers with different names like Leptospira, swine flu, Chikun Guniya, etc, the symptoms of disease is different but symptoms of fever are same. That means there is a scientific basis, which is common for all these disease related fever and can be used to explain the secret of all disease related fever. In COVID -19 up to 80% of patients have no fever.
Present status of fever:
“Our understanding of the neural basis of thermoregulation and fever remains rudimentary”. “The role of fever within the defense mechanism isn't clear”.
Different types of fever definitions can be seen in medical books [1]. Although the overall sense that a fever means a rise in blood heat is pervasive, the precise definition of a fever is an ongoing debate, as is its biological purpose [2].
Davidsons Principles and practice of medicine_22Ed says, ‘Fever’ implies an elevated core blood heat of quite 38.0°C. Harrison’s Principles of general medicine , 19th Ed says, consistent with the facts of physics, if temperature increases, thermal expansion of an object is positive it'll expand and with a decrease of temperature, it'll shrink.
In fever, the firing rate of Warm sensitive neurons decreases, and therefore the firing rate of Cold sensitive neurons increases. At the same time if we apply hotness from outside by thermal bag or if we drink hot water, our body acts according to the Facts of Physics- an increase of temperature, the pressure will also increase, expands blood vessels and skin [3], body sweats, motion will increase, inflammation will decrease, body pain will decrease, blood circulation will increase, like cold substances, etc.
When the disease made by the virus becomes a threat to life or organs blood circulation decreases [4], Temperature of fever will emerge to increase prevailing essential blood circulation.
